The Great Escape: online workshop for museums

Art Fund is the national charity for art and they are inviting you to join them on their newest adventure – The Great Escape.

The Great Escape is a new major UK-wide mass participation art project that inspires children to set free their imaginations and connect with our native wildlife, through the treasures found throughout the UK’s museums, galleries and historic houses. Working with museums across the country, schools and families will creatively explore the biodiversity of the UK by imagining the journeys of animals and birds escaping back to their natural wild habitats through a series of workshops from September. This activity will lead up to a large-scale participative event on Earth Day 2023 (22-23 April).

Art Fund’s series of online workshops have been designed to provide updates on the project, discuss a topic to help you carry out The Great Escape at your museum, connect you with other museums who are signed up, and provide time to answer any questions you have for The Great Escape team.

At this workshop you will be discussing how organisations can link their learning activities for The Great Escape to your local school’s curriculum.

If you are unable to attend this workshop, you can view the upcoming dates in the series here. Art Fund will also be circulating notes and links to everyone who wants to get involved.

To join this workshop, all you need to do is register your interest and you will receive the booking details. You will only be able to book onto the next upcoming workshop, so make sure to register your interest and look out for Art Fund’s monthly emails for booking details to workshops later in the year.
