Collections Trust open call for case studies

Share your experiences with the museum community and help shape the future of cataloguing

Rethinking cataloguing is the theme of this year’s Collections Trust conference, which will take place on Thursday 6 October at Sheffield’s Millennium Gallery.

Collections Trust believe that Cataloguing should be an open-ended, inclusive, and flexible activity – but how can we put these principles into practice?

Collections Trust want to hear from you!

Do you have an inspirational case study to share? Have you been involved in a successful project that influenced the way in which your organisation approaches cataloguing?

They are particularly interested in examples that encourage an inclusive perspective, challenge the ‘gatekeeper’ mindset, and consider solutions for increasing access to collections information.

The case studies can be in any format you like, the more creative, the better! Videos, audio recordings, written text, images – whatever you fancy. They would like to share them on the Collections Trust website and social media channels as part of their #RethinkingCataloguing campaign, your example might even feature in the final conference line-up.

Please email your case study to comms@collectionstrust.org.uk

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact Collections Trust via the email above.
