Beck Isle Museum in Pickering North Yorkshire is seeking a treasurer to work with the board of trustees and museum managers to develop the financial management of this vibrant museum.

The treasurer will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organisation. We have an administrator who manages day-to-day financial management and end of year accounts are professionally produced.

We are looking for someone who will have the experience to advise the other trustees on financial matters, take a strategic approach to financial forward planning, produce an annual budget, monitor performance against that budget and play an active part in the decision making of the board of trustees.

Experience of financial management is required; experience of charities and governance would be advantageous.

Beck Isle Museum was founded in 1967 by a group of enthusiastic volunteers. The museum exists to share the stories, memories and associated objects of the Pickering area with the local community and visitors to the area. With a social history collection of over 50,000 objects and in the region of 70 volunteers the museum is a lively, friendly and exciting place to work and visit.
