Become a Trustee of St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery
Help us achieve our ambition to become one of the most respected small museums and art galleries in the UK, inspiring the community through art, heritage and culture. Join our friendly and talented group of Trustees to help drive forward the ambitious plans for this independent charity to make a positive impact on the lives of local people.
Next year will be our 25th anniversary and we will be celebrating our wide variety of community focused programmes; from our Art1st Group which provides creative opportunities to those with a wide range of support needs, to our Young Curators panel which provides vocational experience for young people aged 11-16. These programmes and more are supported by our national quality art exhibitions and vital heritage work which draws on the Museum collections to help educate and enrich lives.
In 2023 St Barbe Museum + Art Gallery became an Arts Council England funded National Portfolio Organisation with confirmed funding until 2026. It has never been a better time to become a part of the St Barbe team and to help us continue to grow.

We are keen to appoint trustees in the following areas:
- People who are familiar with fundraising in the charity sector, preferably within the local area
