Trustee vacancy – Mercian Regiment Museum

Trustee Treasurer: This role manages overall finance, sits on the Board of Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcestershire) (MRMW) and is a pivotal position.

  • To take accountability of the bank account and to be a signatory for the bank account.
  • To present a financial update at Trustees meetings and to devolve budgets where necessary.
  • To ensure that we stick within expenditure levels. To deposit money into the bank.
  • To present a predicted target and actual budget for the year.
  • To work with the Chair to give breakdowns of costings for fundraising bids and for events/activity/paid members of staff.
  • To seek out revenue opportunities within the limits of what MRMW can do.
  • To approach organizations for donations and sponsorship opportunities.
  • To increase revenue through public donations (online and actual) and to be proactive in doing this.
  • To work with other Trustees to plan income generating activities.

Knowledge:

  • Educated to AAT or above or experience which demonstrates equivalent analytical ability
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems and their benefits for the voluntary sector is desirable
  • Knowledge of good governance procedures for the voluntary sector.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:

The Board of Trustees meets at least four times a year on weekday early evenings, generally during the week between 5pm – 7pm.
