Tewkesbury Museum is seeking new trustees for the following positions:
- Volunteer Coordination – Tewkesbury Museum is run entirely by volunteers, so the Volunteer Coordinator is an essential part of our board. Critical responsibilities include recruitment, training and rota management.
- Building Coordination – Tewkesbury Museum is housed in a beautiful timber-framed building dating from 1760. It’s a major part of our offering to visitors, but needs someone to make sure it’s safe, secure, clean and well-looked after.
- Fundraising – Entry to Tewkesbury Museum is free, so we rely on donations and income from our programme of talks, walks and other events to raise the money we need to survive. In addition, we have plans to enhance our exhibitions, which will not be cheap!
Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:
All trustees attend 6-8 board meetings a year, chair meetings of a relevant committee and carry out many of the Museum’s activities. Most trustees spend 6-10 hours helping the museum.
Daytime or evening meetings:
- Board meetings alternate between in-person and remote and generally last from 5 to 7.
- Committee meetings are held according to members’ availability.
Closing date for applications: 15 February 2023.
