Trustee vacancy – Tewkesbury Museum

Tewkesbury Museum is seeking two new Trustees: 

  • Collections Trustee – Conserve, store and display the Museum’s collection.  Continue SPECTRUM implementation.  Regain accreditation.  Provide the public with access to the collections.  Manage relevant volunteers.  Chair Collections Committee.
  • Volunteer Management Trustee – Attract, assess and induct new trustees and volunteers.  Together with other trustees, manage and train volunteers.  Prepare training materials.  Update documentation.  Maintain volunteer database.  Prepare weekly rota.  Chair Volunteers’ Committee.

Number of meetings per annum/time commitment:

Trustees attend 6-8 board meetings a year (alternating between in-person and video) and chair meetings of a relevant committee.  They also carry out or delegate relevant museum activities.

Daytime or evening meetings:  Board meetings are currently from 5 to 7pm.  The frequency and duration of committee meetings depends on the members’ availability.
