Trustee vacancy – Treasurer – Ely Museum

Treasurer wanted.

Could this be you?

We are looking to appoint a Treasurer to join Ely Museum at an exciting time.  We will look to you to maintain oversight of finances and contribute to the strategic direction of the Museum, therefore a passion for protecting the assets of our award-winning Accredited Museum, as well as ensuring a sustainable position, is key to this role.

Individuals with experience in accounting or charity finance are particularly welcome, however we would love to hear from anyone who feels that their skills and background would be suited to this role.

We will look to you to ensure that Ely Museum fulfils its duties and responsibilities for financial governance as set down by the Charity Commission and within the Museum’s constitution.  You will work with both staff and Trustees to achieve this.

Ely Museum is an independent museum that tells the story of the landscape of the local area and the lives of people who have lived there.  We are delighted to have been supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and have recently undergone a £2.2m redevelopment of the exhibitions and building.

This is an exciting time for you to join us and you will want to help us achieve our ambitions and support in our direction of travel.

To register your interest in this voluntary position, please email curator@elymuseum.org.uk with your CV and contact details.  Don’t worry though, if your CV is not quite up to date.  Get in touch anyway and we can arrange an informal chat with our Chair of Trustees.

We would love to hear from you.

Closing date: 31 October.
