We’re looking for a leader who can lead and inspire our team and our stakeholders with their vision and enthusiasm. They should have highly developed people management skills, strong financial and commercial experience and excellent strategic business planning skills.

We’re looking for someone who really understands our manifesto and values and has the vision to grow the museum, building upon the success of our redevelopment and launch in 2021.

Our Chief Executive will be responsible for leading and developing the new Manchester Jewish Museum. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, they will be responsible for developing and then delivering a new strategy for growth, driven by the museum’s new manifesto and values. The Chief Executive will deliver strong leadership, holding accountability for strategy, execution and resource management, and will act as an advocate and ambassador for the organisation with a wide range of stakeholders and partners. They will ensure the museum firmly establishes itself as a leading cultural organisation in Manchester and the North.

They will build on existing relationships and partnerships and at the same time identify and cultivate new supporters and partnerships to help meet the museum’s income targets and enable us to fulfil our mission and to reach and engage new audiences.
