The museum wishes to appoint a part-time Community Curator to plan and deliver a 2-year programme of community-led exhibitions, identify potential groups and individuals to work with, and develop a good working relationship with participants, helping them to overcome any barriers to participation.

The exhibitions will be housed in the museum’s Community Gallery, established as part of the Exhibitions 2020 project and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Since it was created, the gallery has attracted a wide range of exhibitors from the local community, including school groups, artists, the National Trust, and the Quilters’ Guild.

2-year fixed term contract

Reporting to the Museum Curator

Salary: £4,800 per annum for 0.2 FTE (£24,000 pro rata)
