Beamish, The Living Museum of the North is looking for a creative, forward-thinking and highly-motivated Digital Communications Manager.
Could you lead on digital communications at the world-renowned open air museum, developing and delivering innovative digital projects?
You will oversee the museum’s Digital Communications Plan, as part of the overall Communications Plan, thinking innovatively to deliver digital projects to meet the needs of users and audiences at the region’s most visited attraction.
You’ll have experience of developing successful digital communications projects, and an in-depth knowledge of digital developments and trends, with the ability to use analytics to inform planning and campaigns.
The role includes managing the museum’s websites and blogs, including new projects, and leading colleagues in the production of creative and successful digital content, inspired by the museum’s amazing people, stories and collections.
The Digital Communications Manager is line manager for the Digital Communications Officer and Digital Communications Assistant and deputises for the Head of Communications when required.
You will have exceptional digital and communications skills, excellent attention to detail, and the need to be highly organised with experience of prioritising workloads and working to deadlines.
The successful candidate will be joining the world-renowned Beamish Museum as part of the fantastic, friendly team of 400 staff and 400 volunteers, working in the beautiful 350-acre site, with a range of benefits.
Salary: £32,085 – £36,040 (dependent upon experience)
