The National Horseracing Museum holds a nationally significant collection of horseracing memorabilia and cares for the collections of the British Sporting Art Trust. The Visitor Experience Manager will be responsible for managing the front of house and retail activities alongside ensuring a high standard of visitor welcome, safety and access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line management of front of house and retail staff alongside supporting fornt-of-house volunteers.
- Managing retail and ticketing operations including cash handling and banking.
- Deliver training to and support staff and volunteers to ensure a high quality, safe, accessible and consistent visitor experience.
- Responsible for risk assessment, visitor safety and security in public areas.
- Responsible for staff and volunteer rotas.
- Monitor and report on visitor numbers to the site, special exhibitions and Palace House.
- Deliver attractive and relevant shopping experience on the museum site and Newmarket Racecourse in liaison with the Marketing team, Director and Trustees as appropriate.
- Ensure access and inclusion across the site in consultation with the Creative Programme manager as appropriate.
- Undertake any other relevant tasks as required.
