CFG ARTSIG

Information and Cyber Security for arts charities and museums

This event is free for CFG members.

Hardly a week goes by without another announcement being made about an organisation that has suffered a data breach or an information security incident.

There are many reasons why these incidents happen, and it can be all too easy to focus entirely on IT considerations such as ‘locking down’ systems to minimise the chances of data loss or unauthorised access. However, in our experience, while this is of course important, many organisations would benefit more from simpler measures in the first instance.

What does this event cover?

This session is tailored exclusively for charities in the arts and culture sector, and will cover the following topics with full consideration to maximising your staffing and IT resources:

  • An overview of common risks and potential pitfalls in relation to information and cyber security
  • Best practice and practical tips for information security in an arts and culture organisation
  • Thoughts and considerations about relevant standards and legislation for your organisation
  • Guidance around risks in relation to staff, volunteers, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • An opportunity to ask questions and discuss your issues with people from other arts and culture organisations who are likely to be facing the same challenges as yourself.

How do I book?

The event is free for all CFG members, and is built for the ARTSIG community.
