Hallmarks at Home – Marketing and communication to audiences that aren’t returning or visiting

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED.

This session will explore the role that marketing and communication will have in reaching and engaging your audiences that aren’t physically visiting your museum in the coming months.

Perhaps your venue remains shut to all visitors, or some audience groups aren’t visiting in the numbers that they did pre-Covid (for example tourists, people who are still shielding, school groups, volunteers).

As we re-open and focus a lot of our efforts on reassuring and attracting visitors back to our venues, how can we ensure that audiences that aren’t able to visit us remain engaged and interested in our museums? How can we build on the digital engagement progress and goodwill developed under lockdown? How do we do this with so many factors beyond our control and that are frequently changing? How does our marketing and communication need to evolve?

The session will be led by Christina Lister, marketing and audience development consultant and author of AIM’s recently published Success Guide ‘Successful Marketing for Museums’.
