Supplier Spotlight – Museums and Galleries Exhibition Tax Relief update and VAT tips – FULLY BOOKED

Charity tax experts Azets will provide a brief overview of Museum and Galleries Exhibitions Tax Relief (MGETR), the recent changes to the rates and how to maximise the claim. They will also highlight how changes in the sector have affect the recovery of VAT and how irrecoverable VAT can be minimised.

This session is ideal for anyone thinking of making an MGETR claim or who is considering the VAT implications for their organisation, but you don’t need to be a financial expert as this session is for everyone. There will be time for questions so you’ll be able to get support with your particular queries.

The session will be led by Kirsty Murray, a tax partner at Azers with over 20 years  in tax, she deals with all aspects of corporate tax but specialises in not for profit and charitable bodies.

Kirsty has advised on charity tax exemptions,  gift aid payments between subsidiary companies and the parent charity, avoiding tax pitfalls, the tax risks of a charity subsidising their subsidiary company and issues of funding.  She is also an expert in the Creative Industries tax reliefs having claimed over £15m for her clients.

11am – 12.30pm Thursday 28 September. Free session for AIM members.
